At Colégio do Vale, pre-school education is seen as an essential stage in the child's educational journey. The educational team plays an active role in building and managing the curriculum, promoting meaningful, cross-curricular and contextualised experiences, in accordance with the content areas set out in the Curriculum Guidelines.
Inspired by the Modern School Model (MEM), we encourage the child's active participation, valuing their voice, interests and learning pace. The activities are designed to make sense of their discoveries, promote autonomy and stimulate critical thinking.
We favour a close relationship with families and ensure a smooth transition to the 1st cycle, guaranteeing pedagogical and emotional continuity in the process of growth and learning.
