1st CYCLE
At Colégio do Vale, the 1st cycle curriculum is based on an active pedagogical model, centred on the students and the meaningful construction of knowledge. Learning is based on children's interests, promoting critical thinking, creativity and involvement in all areas of knowledge.
The organisation of the curriculum also allows for the development of transversal skills, attitudes and values that are part of our school's educational culture - such as autonomy, respect for others and pleasure in learning.
This cycle establishes a strong link with pre-school education, ensuring a gradual and positive transition, and with the British Primary School, promoting diversified pathways adapted to the needs and projects of each family.
